In my previous post, I mentioned that I intended to run virtual exhibitions on my site. I was a little coy in what the theme or title of the first one would be so, the title will be “Everyday Amazing”. I’m collating the images now, so that this one will be up before the end of the month (maybe sooner). The narrative of the exhibition will be around how seemingly everyday objects or situations can have an amazing quality if we just take a moment and see it.
Thanks, Matt

First Post - What's this all about? This website is a brand new endeavour for me and I think it’s going to be a lot of fun! So, what is it exactly? Well, I wanted a place that I could share my pictures but under my terms, not those of Facebook, Instagram or Twitter for example. Not that I have an anything against those sites, I’ve got a Facebook Page and Instagram profile (@matt.robinson.75470316) like most others but the format doesn’t really do photographs much justice as artwork in my mind. I wanted an on-line gallery where I could “hang” my own exhibitions and people could come and view them. I couldn’t find what I wanted so, I built my own. I’ve done it using Weebly, hence the rather odd website address. It was free and I hail from Yorkshire, so I was OK with that.
I’ve put quite a bit of thought into how I will kick this all off and I don’t think me posting ad-hoc images is really going to hold anyone’s interest for long. I might as well stick with Facebook. So, instead I’m challenging myself. I’m going to pick themes from time to time and present you with some virtual exhibitions. expect that they’ll be quite small, probably twelve images or so each. Otherwise, it will take too long to create and we’ll all lose interest. I have a few themes in mind to start things off but if you want to add to the list then use the comments below. I’m going to try and do one every two months. That’s probably enough for now. I’ll announce the theme of the first exhibition shortly, I’m pretty sure I know what it will be. For now though, tell your friends, like my Facebook page and keep visiting. Thanks, Matt |
